Crop Report: First Taste of Fall

Hi everyone! Summer produce is in full swing, lots of great stuff to choose from. Peaches are winding down, be sure to get Ohio peaches while they last. Our chili pepper plants are going wild! Add some spice to your meals this week.

It's starting to feel like fall around here. Many of our September apples are almost ready to harvest. We've been busy this week picking early apple varieties, winter squash and pumpkins (is it already time for pumpkins again??)

We still have lots of delicious early apples available in our farm market, Honeycrisp, Ginger Gold, Zestar, Macoun, Red Free. Look for new varieties Saturday.

This will be the first weekend for u-pick apples! Here's a little info about our u-pick:

  • This weekend our u-pick variety is Jonathan.

  • U-pick bags are $20 (a full bag is about 10lbs.)

  • Visitors must purchase a u-pick bag before going back into the orchard.

  • U-pick times: Saturday 9am - 4pm & Sunday 11am - 4pm

  • Our orchard is only accessible by foot (less than 1/2 mile walk)

If you have any questions give us a call! (937) 767-2208
