Crop Report: Autumn Apples
Thanks for checking in this week! It's peak apple season here at the orchard. Our Farm Market is full of fresh picked apples. This week we harvested several new varieties for the Farm Market. Full list of apple varieties and produce available to follow.
We WILL have apple picking available this weekend. Here's some details:
When? Saturday and Sunday. Saturday 9am-5pm Sunday 11am-4pm
Apple variety: Goldrush. Goldrush is a great all-purpose apple and a customer favorite. Goldrush will be U-PICK ONLY this weekend. We plan to have Goldrush available in the Farm Market soon. Stay posted for details! There are lots of apple varieties available already picked in our Farm Market. Full list below.

Our U-Pick pumpkin patch is open seven days a week. There are still lots of great Jack O'Lantern pumpkins to choose from in the pumpkin patch and up at the Farm Market. If you want to beat the weekend craziness, weekdays in the pumpkin patch are a bit more laid back.
Our fresh pressed apple cider has been flying out the doors this year! We press small batch twice a week and have been selling out faster than we ever imagined! This week we brought in the whole crew to pick extra apples for a third press. We hope to have cider available though the weekend. Give us a call if you are planning a special trip for cider as it does tend to sell out on Sunday afternoons.
Home-brewers, we encourage you to wait for cider a little later in the season. Most customers who make their own hard cider love the addition of Goldrush apples to our cider blend. Look for this cider blend in a couple weeks. It is worth the wait!
We've had lots of questions about the different varieties of winter squash and how to cook them. Here's a link to a recipe for spaghetti squash. All winter squash can be prepared in a similar way. There are so many different varieties to compare and contrast at home this season!
Apple and pumpkin sweet treats are a must around here this time of year. We whipped these up for the crew and they were a huge hit!
