Crop Report: Early Summer Produce
Thanks for checking in! It's been great to see so many familiar faces. So much appreciation for our wonderful customers! Every week brings a little more variety of locally grown produce. Full list of produce to find in our Farm Market to follow.
Winter always seems to last a little longer than it should. We are so glad to be eating locally grown produce once again. Heirloom tomatoes hit our Farm Market this week. Don't let their unique shapes turn you away, their flavor is amazing! Tomato salad is on our menu almost every day. Link to a recipe for a quick tomato salad below.
We are now taking orders for Tart Michigan Cherries. Here's the scoop:
Cherries are fresh (not frozen)
Already pitted - this might be the best part!
10 or 30 pound buckets
Pricing will be determined after harvest. Ten pound buckets are typically around $40.
Cherries arrive mid-July. We will contact you as soon as they get here.
Call, email, or stop in to get on the list!
Feeling like 10 pounds of cherries might be more than you can handle? Split them with a friend! Because the cherries arrive fresh AND pitted they are very easy to split up. You can also freeze the cherries and enjoy them later in the season.
Lots of questions this week about berry picking. Blackberry picking will begin late July. We will keep you update as they start to ripen.
Here's some recipe inspiration for you weekend. The Lemon blueberry muffins are so yummy! It's our go to recipe. Fresh blueberries and a touch of almond extract truly make these muffins the best. Links to recipes below pictures.
