This week was spent picking lots of apples and pressing apple cider. We have an abundance of Goldrush this year, yay!
Here's why Goldrush is one of our favorite apples:
They are EXCELLENT all-purpose. The apple gets the name from its "rush" of flavor.
Goldrush is one of the only apples know to improve its flavor in storage. Goldrush is a great keeper maintaining crispness for seven months in cool storage.
We recommend keeping apples in the crisper of your refrigerator. During cooler months, your garage is also a good spot.
Wether you are getting apples for applesauce, pies or just to eat you really can't go wrong with Goldrush!
Apple Cinnamon Rolls are on the menu this weekend! This recipe from Halfbaked Harvest is a family favorite and the prefect way to start our Sunday morning. Apple Cinnamon Rolls Recipe
