Crop Report: Honeycrisp Apples!
Thanks for checking in! Apple season is officially here. Cooler days for apple harvest are always preferable but we're happy to finally have fresh picked apples again! We will continue to harvest new varieties throughout the season. Updates will be posted to the crop report weekly. Full list of locally grown produce and apple varieties to follow.
The first weekend for pick-your-own apples is Labor Day Weekend (September 4th & 5th). Our first varieties to u-pick are Jonathan, Macoun, and Cortland (please note that u-pick and pre-picked varieties may be different). Apple picking will be available MOST weekends in September & October. For details on U-Pick apples at our farm this fall click HERE.
There are still plenty of berries to pick in our berry patch. Black and red raspberries are abundant. Our farm is open for berry picking Monday-Sunday during Farm Market hours.
We are still harvesting lots of peaches from our orchard. They have been so delicious this year! Here are a couple recipes to make the most out of local peaches before the season is over. Links below pictures. The Bourbon Peach Smash is one of our summer favorites!
Fresh picked locally grown Poblano and Jalapeño peppers were delivered to our Farm Market this morning. We are very excited to try these recipes this weekend. Links to recipes below.
